A leader

Just went out for a spin in my neighborhood and almost ran into a lightpost. Here’s why:

And they really believe it!

“Ye see the distress that (they) are in” (Neh 2:17a KJV)

And this from a (supposedly) orthodox Caribbean priest who voted against the Gene Robinson consecration! This priest is also one of the Bishop of Jamaica’s “Commissaries”.

Does he really understand this lady's theology? Maybe Bishop Reid (Jamaica) or Archbishop Gomez might want to have a little chat with him.

Not sure if I would be happy if my wife was a leader “like Bishop(?) Schori”. Incidentally, that’s the church she (my wife) used to attend before I met her. She actually left the Episcopal Church and I brought her back. Thank God we left and are safely ensconced in the AMiA.

Comments:
bribri, I noticed your post from VOL. The short segment below is from an interview with Paul Zahl in Ireland:

"So basically around about 20% of ECUSA would be either evangelical or anglo-catholic?

Yes.

And 80% liberal."

bribri, these are precisely the percentages that I have been using in my dialogs. I'm sure Zahl's numbers are backed up by data, whereas I made a lucky guess.

Irregardless, we need to get our 20% mobilized and moving, away from 815, with all haste!

I forgot, you're already in the AMIA!

Here is a personal observation:

In my immediate vicinity, many of the Episcopalians that I know are outright skeptics. One wonders why they even bother to go to church. Just to keep the wife happy?

Finally, she's certainly not my leader!

Good luck with your blog. BTW, I reside in the Diocese of the Rio Grande.
